Fireworks rules in Spring Hill

  • Sales: temporary retail fireworks stands need a city permit and may sell only from June 25 through July 4 and from Dec. 23 through Jan. 1, according to the city’s temporary retail fireworks stand application. The Planning Department takes applications no more than 90 days before those dates.
  • Using fireworks at home: the rules are in Title 7, Chapter 7 of the city’s municipal code. Check them before you light anything, and never at a city park or the city’s own celebration.
  • Burning: outdoor burning has its own rules; see the Fire Department’s burn permits page.
