What happens at Hill Fest

The city’s 2026 page and event flyer listed:

  • a lineup of food trucks
  • inflatables: bounce houses, obstacle courses, a bungee trampoline, soccer darts and a wipeout challenge
  • yard games and a round of mini golf
  • music from a live DJ
  • a daytime fireworks show to close the event

The theme changes from year to year. The 2024 festival, billed as a “Carnival Edition,” added rides, carnival games, face painters, balloon artists and a variety show with magicians, stilt walkers and jugglers. The 2023 festival had a tethered hot air balloon, a kite-building station and a kite demonstration; that year the balloon rides and face painting cost extra, with proceeds going to Willow Bend Nature Center.

  • Money for food. Entry and the activities listed for 2026 are free, but the food trucks sell food.
  • Pets, coolers and rain. The city’s page does not say whether dogs or coolers are allowed or what happens in bad weather. Call Parks and Recreation at 931-487-0027 before you go, or watch the city’s Parks and Recreation Facebook and Instagram accounts, where the city posts event updates.
  • Fireworks at home. Hill Fest’s show is a professional daytime display. City rules on selling fireworks are in our Fourth of July guide.
