Labor Day 2027 is Monday, Sept. 6. It is the last day of the season for the free splash pad at Fischer Park, trash runs a day late all week, and the library closes. We have not found a Labor Day festival or cookout in Spring Hill; the city’s next big outdoor event is Campin’ in the Park later in September.

  • Fischer Park splash pad, 4285 Port Royal Road: free, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Labor Day (city page). Tables beside it are first come, first served.
  • Longview Recreation Center, 2909 Commonwealth Drive: Williamson County’s center has a seasonal outdoor pool and a year-round indoor pool. In 2026 the county’s Summer Splash Pass for its outdoor pools ran through Sept. 11 (county pools page). Check the Longview pool page for the outdoor pool’s last day.

  • Rippa Villa, 5700 Main St.: guided tours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, last tour at 4 p.m. (Battle of Franklin Trust).
  • The Spring Hill battlefield trail, Kedron Road at Reserve Boulevard: free; see our walking and biking trails guide.
  • A picnic in a city park: Harvey Park, 4001 Miles Johnson Parkway, has charcoal grills and two shelters; shelters at Harvey, Evans and Fischer parks can be reserved through the city.
  • Hidden Gem Farmers Market, 863 Old Military Road: Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October (chamber listing).

Coming up: Campin’ in the Park

The city’s free overnight campout on the athletic fields at Fischer Park, with outdoor programs and a family movie, was Sept. 19-20, 2026. Registration was required, opened Aug. 24 and closed Sept. 11, with up to six people per campsite and an adult 18 or older registering each site, per the city’s event page. The 2027 dates are not out yet; we will add them here.
